No purchase is necessary to enter or win the competition but entrants should be aware that they may be subject to local call charges depending on their own individual arrangements for internet access. To enter, enter a ‘bid’ for what you think the Vespa GS would have sold for in 1965 in Pounds Sterling and then enter your details where indicated on the website, and submit the entry by 6pm GMT on 30th November 2011. All entries must include entrant’s name, email address, country of residence, date of birth, and postcode. By entering the competition, entrant consents to receive additional Universal Music and/or artist promotional information.

The competition will begin 22 October 2011 and the deadline for receipt of entry is 30 November 2011 at 6pm (GMT). The first and last name provided by entrants will be the identity of the entrant and, if selected for the prize, the identity of the winner. The use of a bogus name or email address will disqualify an entrant. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entrant’s e-mail address will not be withheld. Duplicate entries will be void. By entering the competition, entrant consents to receive additional Universal Music promotional information. All entrants agree to abide by these rules. All entries become the property of Universal Music Operations Ltd.

All entrants must be at least 16 years of age to be valid and to be able to prove their age. Entrants under the age of 18 must have their parents’ or guardians’ permission to enter. Employees (and their immediate families or household members) of Universal Music Operations Ltd and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents are not eligible to enter this competition. Universal Music Operations Ltd, Vespa (Piaggio Ltd) and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and agents are not responsible for any lost, late illegible, incomplete, postage due, misdirected or mutilated mail, any electronic miscommunications or failures, technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable connections, or failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer or mobile phone transmissions which may limit entrant’s ability to participate in the competition.

Within five (5) days of the competition closing, one (1) first prize winner will be selected from all eligible entries received that closest match the value of the Vespa GS scooter as decided by Universal Music Operations Ltd. In the event of more than one (1) entrant correctly guessing the value of the Vespa GS in 1965, the correct entrants will be selected at random. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All decisions of Universal Music Operations Ltd, including setting the correct value of a restored VESPA GS scooter in 1965, are final and binding on the entrants in all respects. The winner/s will be notified by email by Universal Music Operations Ltd within seven (7) days of the closing date. Failure to respond immediately will be considered winner’s forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner may be selected from the pool of eligible entries. The Winner must be in possession of a valid driver’s licence and insurance to collect the prize or an alternative winner will be selected. The Vespa PX 125 will be delivered to the nearest authorised Vespa dealer from where it must be collected by the winner only. The Vespa must be registered in the winner’s name only before collection. The Vespa will become the sole responsibility of the winner as soon as it leaves the dealer's premises. Insurance must be arranged and paid for by the winner in advance of collection. No accessories (e.g. helmet, gloves) are included in the prize.

Universal Music Operations Ltd is not responsible for 1) failed, returned or misdirected notifications based on inaccurate information provided by the winner on entry 2) entries, and responses to winner notifications which are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, misdirected, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient in whole or in part or for computer, mobile phone or technical error of any kind. Universal Music Operations Ltd reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this competition should a virus, ‘bug’ or other cause beyond Universal Music Operations Ltd control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the competition. Universal Music Operations Ltd reserve the right to modify the rules of the competition in any way or at any time. These Official Contest Rules and this competition shall be governed by English law and by entering the competition all entrants agree that all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Courts of Justice.
